Highlights of the Schönbrunn Collection in Gödöllő

The world's two most important Sisi cult sites - Gödöllő and Schönbrunn - are commemorating the 125th anniversary of Queen Elizabeth's death with a unique joint temporary exhibition. The special Schönbrunn collection leaves Austria for the first time as part of the Sisi on Tour exhibition and its first trip leads to Gödöllő. At the exhibition, pieces of clothing, family portraits, porcelain and other personal items help us to get to know the person and myth of Queen Elizabeth.

Renoir Exhibition

Busó Festivities of Mohács

These traditional festivities - having been inscribed on the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity of the UNESCO - are real delicacies of the carnival season. Hungary’s greatest folklore festival, truly deserving international fame, is about busós scaring away winter, an experience to remember for children as well as for adults. The climax of the event is the parade of busós wearing costumes and masks following traditions dating back several centuries.

Telekom Vivicittá Spring Half Marathon

Tour de Hongrie

Tour de Hongrie is a professional road bicycle race, which was organized for the first time in 1925. Since 2023, the competition is part of the UCI ProSeries. Formula 1 Hungarian Grand Prix

World Chess Olympiad

World Swimming Championships (25m)

Organizing the World Aquatics in 2017 granted hosting rights for the 17th edition of the World Swimming Championships (25m) to Budapest. The championships are staged in a 25m pool, referred to as short course format.
