„Cézanne to Malevich” exhibition
Place:Museum of Fine Arts, Budapest
Ends on 14/Feb/2021
The second Budapest exhibition of the French master explores the impact he had on modern painting. The art of Paul Cézanne has its roots in impressionism and is today considered the most remarkable precursor of 20th-century abstract formalism. In addition to 50 pieces of art of Cézanne himself, the museum will also present works of Paul Klee, László Moholy-Nagy and other contemporaries. The exhibition material will contain works coming from prestigious public and private collections such as the Musée d’Orsay in Paris and the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
