St. Martin New Wine Festival and Goose Feast
Place:Hungarian Open Air Museum, Szentendre
Ends on 10/Nov/2019
St. Martin’s Day has been one of the most important days in folk calendars: it marks the end of farm works and the economic year, but it is also seen as the day when women moved their work indoors. The day is commonly associated with eating goose and traditionally the first day when the new wine can be tasted to ensure prosperity for next year as well. The Hungarian Open Air Museum in Szentendre welcomes visitors each year with a selection of delicacies, craftsmen, folk music, folk dance shows and an amazing atmosphere.
