Maybe you have already heard the news, but we just can’t seem to get enough of telling everyone about it. Budapest has been voted first on the European Best Destinations (EBD) contest. On the competition held between 15 January and 5 February, Budapest won first place collecting a total of more than 62 thousand votes, ahead of destinations like London, Paris, Vienna and Prague. In addition to the strong support from home, 77% of the votes came from other countries, mostly Austria, Germany, France, Italy, the UK and the US. In their announcement, EBD stated that “no other winning European travel destination has received such international support before”.
