These traditional festivities - having been inscribed on the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity of the UNESCO - are real delicacies of the carnival season. Hungary’s greatest folklore festival, truly deserving international fame, is about busós scaring away winter, an experience to remember for children as well as for adults. The climax of the event is the parade of busós wearing costumes and masks following traditions dating back several centuries.

Tour de Hongrie is a professional road bicycle race, which was organized for the first time in 1925. Since 2023, the competition is part of the UCI ProSeries. This festival, to be held in mid-summer, brings the medieval fortress system of Visegrád to life again. Besides spectacular knightly tournaments, the programmes evoking the traditions of the XIV. century will also include a torchlight procession, falconry displays, early music performances and an entire military camp. Visitors will also have the opportunity to learn about traditional folk crafts and to try how they would manage in the field of craftsmanship themselves.

The Formula One World Championship, commonly seen as the highest class of single-seat auto racing, is coming to Hungary every year since 1986. One of Europe’s largest music festivals, known as the "Island of Freedom", will open its gates again in 2025! The festival awaits festival "citizens" for over 6 full days on 60 different stages with more than 1,000 productions. The premier category of motorcycle road racing, MotoGP will return to Hungary after 33 years! The event will be held at the eastern shore of Lake Balaton, near Balatonfőkajár. During the three day event, MotoGP, Moto2 and Moto3 World Championship categories will visit the track.
