Round Trip in Hungary
Take your time, pack your suitcase and discover the beauty of Hungary! The round tour covers the northern half of the country, with accommodation in four different hotels.
Guests can explore the famous baroque town of Eger, the natural wonders of Bükk National Park, the lovely palace of Queen Elisabeth (Sissi) in Gödöllő and the UNESCO World Heritage Sight Hollókő. Gastronomical delights include the tasting of the famous Bull’s Blood of Eger as well as the “Wine of Kings and King of Wines” Aszú wine of Tokaj.
It would not be a real Hungarian round trip without a whole-day discovery of Budapest, an excursion to the scenic Danube bend, and a classic “puszta program” at a “Csárda” (typical Hungarian inn) with carriage ride, horse show, palinka tasting and substantial meals.
When heading towards Lake Balaton you will first stop at Herend to visit the world-famous porcelain manufactory, then the trip continues to the largest sweet water lake of Central-Europe with a length of 77 km and width of 14 km, which is called “the Hungarian Sea” by locals. In the area you will visit the Benedictine Abbey of Tihany, the pretty town of Balatonfüred and the magnificent baroque palace of the Festetics in Keszthely.
The tour ends in the western corner of the country, to visit the „Little Versailles” in Fertőd, and “the most loyal town” Sopron.
