Wine Adventures in Hungary
It can’t be a coincidence, that a relatively small country like Hungary has 22 different wine regions. If you would like to visit some famous sights and get acquainted with the local viniculture as well, we suggest you choosing our East- or South Hungary wine round tour! Both programs include Budapest, Etyek and a lot of cellar or vineyard visits with tasting.
The eastern program presents the folklore village of Hollókő, Eger – home of the “Bull’s blood’ -, Tokaj – home of the Aszú, which is known as “Wine of Kings and King of Wines”, Noszvaj, Sárospatak and Gödöllő. If you wish for an active program, you can try canoeing on the Bodrog river.
The southern tour covers the ancient royal town of Székesfehérvár; the area of Lake Balaton with Tihany, Balatonfüred and Keszthely; the southernmost wine region of Hungary, Villány; the cultural centre Pécs; the tiny gourmet village Palkonya and Szekszárd.
